In a surprising tragic incident, the senior
actor popularly known as ‘Yo My Love’ for his
role in popular comedy serial ‘Tito Satya’ had
died. The actor was performing in a theatre
play at the time of his death. Mid-way in the
play, he had suddenly died in the evening of
January 3, 2017, Tuesday in Rastriya Naachghar,
Jamal, Kathmandu.
The 80-years old actor is the second actor of
‘Tito Satya’ who has died in a month. Last
month, another comedy actor popularly known as
Ladalam, RP Bhattarai had died. They both have
died of heart failure.
The actor had been active in the Nepali film
and theatre for about five decades and was
living alone. His wife had died previously and
his sons were living separately.
In ‘Tito Satya’, Bishnu Bhakta Phuyal was
featured as the father of Deepa Shree Niraula.
At the time of death, Phuyal was playing king
Janak in a play titled ‘Maharshi Yagyawalakya’.
He was performing well and after a dialogue
delivery he stood up to tell another line of
dialogue. But, he collapsed on the shoulder of
his fellow co-artist. He was rushed to the
emergency of Bir Hospital, where he was
pronounced dead. The last rituals of the artist
is being scheduled on January 4 at Pashupati.
I wish the deceased soul rest in peace.
