At least 32 people have died and dozens have been left seriously ill after drinking toxic alcohol over Christmas in Punjab in Pakistan. The dead, mostly minority Christians, consumed the homemade liquor in the city of Toba Tek Singh. Muslims are forbidden from buying or drinking alcohol in Pakistan and minorities need a permit to buy liquor.
The men who belong to the Christian community drank liquor on the night of 25 December and went home. Tragedy struck the next morning when many did not rise from their beds, while others got sick. This was a very sickening incident as the people have been victim of consuming a poisonous alcohol.
A total of 19 people died on Tuesday, and 12 on the day before, in the city 200 miles south of capital Islamabad. Those who drank the toxic bootleg alcohol were mostly minority Christians. The most precious gift for the people is their life and none of the wealth in the world can buy it. The human life is the most beautiful creation of the God and no one has right to decide about each other’s life. No one can decide if a person should live or die, since it is created by nature so the death should also be natural.
It should be left with the ongoing situation. The God must have thought of something about it so people should learn to deal with it and work to overcome with that kind of situation. Many people lost their life in the occasion. People should learn to be careful and take every step very seriously
