KATHMANDU, JUN 13 - The Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCE) has published the results of School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examination on Friday. The pass percentage for this year’s SLC is 43.9 percent.

A board meeting headed by the Secretary for the Ministry of Education was called at 1 pm today before the results were announced.

A total of 548,248 students had appeared in the SCL examinations of which 1, 73, 436 have passed in the regular category. A total of 394,933 students had appeared in the examinations under the regular category. Likewise, among the 133,626 students in the exempted category, 14,519 passed.

The OCE has also cancelled the results of 17,835 students who were termed ineligible for various reasons.

Amongst the ones who have passed the exams this year, 18,110 have secured distinction while 83,637 have passed in the first division. Likewise, 67,942 passed in the second division while 31,747 have passed in third division

The SLC results will be published in seven websites, seven SMS services and one voice call service provider. The results are accessible through www.doe.gov.np , www.moe.gov.np and www.soce.gov.np among others. SLC results can also be viewed by logging on to slc.ekantipur.com.

The final results for last year were published on June 11. The examinations this year was held for nine days from March 20 to 28.
